Canada’s leading technology association will include their popular Ingenious Awards as part of the 2022 program

Toronto, ON, April 6, 2022 – International Data Corporation (IDC) Canada and CIO – a media brand from Foundry (formerly IDG Communications) – today announced a new partnership with TECHNATION to be an Official Association Partner for the CIO 50 Symposium & Awards Canada event, which is set to take place on November 29 and 30, 2022. This partnership will bring together TECHNATION’s Ingenious Awards with the well-respected CIO 50 Awards program.

Together, these three organizations will offer a comprehensive awards conference for the Canadian market, and will expand the nomination categories and quality of nominations from deserving Canadian organizations. TECHNATION will co-host the awards segment of the program, where the 2022 Ingenious Awards will be presented.

This agreement follows the recent partnership announcement between IDC Canada and CIO to jointly produce events.

“We’re excited to partner with TECHNATION again, this time to bring two well-known award programs together,” said IDC Canada’s Managing Director, Lars Goransson. “Leading Canadian technology associations like TECHNATION are partnering with IDC and CIO on events because they believe our research, media and events platform will be the strongest in the country, with more reach and credibility than any other competitor.”

“We believe passionately in supporting homegrown innovation that is transforming our lives, businesses and prosperity across Canada,” said Angela Mondou, President & CEO, TECHNATION. “TECHNATION’s annual Ingenious Awards Program has a long history of celebrating technology innovation from every corner of the country. As more and more disruptive technologies emerge, TECHNATION’s Ingenious Awards together with the CIO 50 Awards will expand the national platform owed to Canada’s incredible entrepreneurs, trailblazers and disruptors. I can’t wait to see the fantastic work that is being spearheaded by our best and brightest companies.”

The CIO 50 Symposium & Awards Canada event celebrates 50 Canadian organizations and their teams, who are using IT in innovative ways to deliver business value by creating a competitive advantage, optimizing business processes, enabling growth or improving relationships with customers. Nominations are now open for this year’s program, and all Canadian organizations are encouraged to apply by nominating their most innovative recent technology project(s).
