Mike Finnerty

As President of Foundry, an IDG, Inc. company, Mike Finnerty leads the company’s teams to execute its strategic and product roadmaps, and sits on IDG, Inc.’s executive leadership team. As a 60-year-old first-party relationship company, Foundry activates and engages the world’s most influential technology buyers with premium brands including CIO, CSO, Computerworld, Network World, InfoWorld, PCWorld and Macworld.  

A digital media veteran, Mike has a proven track record of evolving brands for new commercial opportunities in today’s rapidly moving business landscape. Under Mike’s leadership, Foundry is leveraging its unmatched audience intelligence and first-party relationships to deliver tech marketers the most robust demand generation solutions on the market. 

Prior to joining Foundry, Mike served as EVP, GM within Ziff Davis’ portfolio of digital businesses. Mike led the Tech and Shopping vertical brands including B2B Tech Brands (Spiceworks, Aberdeen, Ziff Davis Performance Marketing), Consumer Tech Brands (Mashable, PCMag, Extremetech, Askmen), and Shopping Brands (Retailmenot, Offers.com, BlackFriday.com, Techbargains.com). The portfolio of leading brands produces and distributes premium content across the world, reaching over 80 million digital content enthusiasts and online shoppers every month, and provides performance marketing for the world’s largest tech and retail marketing partners.  

Before his time at Ziff Davis, Mike held senior positions at The Weather Company, an IBM Business, as SVP of Global Strategy & Development; Comcast as Vice President & GM; and PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Transaction Advisory Services group as a senior associate consultant. During his tenures at both The Weather Channel and Comcast, Mike played instrumental roles in managing and accelerating the companies’ digital media capabilities and audience expansions, and was directly involved in facilitating Comcast’s investments in Metro-Goldwyn Meyer (MGM); Comcast SportsNets in Chicago, New York and Sacramento; TVOne; PBS Kids Sprout and the acquisition of Tech TV. 

 Mike is a certified public accountant and graduated from Villanova University with a bachelor’s degree in accountancy. He lives in New Canaan, CT, with his wife and three children.

Amy Bennett is a veteran editor with more than 15 years of experience in B2B tech publishing. In her role as Editor in Chief, English language for  CIO, CSO, Computerworld, InfoWorld, Network World, Amy oversees editorial operations for these award-winning media brands unwaveringly focused on serving the information needs of IT and security leaders. Amy cut her teeth in publishing spending summers answering phones and writing product announcements at a series of small trade publications that are now long forgotten except to vintage tech enthusiasts. She joined IDG in 2000 as Web Production Manager at ITworld, following stints at Harvard Business School Publishing and Daedalus, the Journal of The American Academy of Arts and Sciences.

Andrea D’Amato brings 25 years of sales and strategy expertise to her current role as CRO, U.S. In leading the IDG Communications’ U.S. sales organization, her team works with some of the largest and most strategic accounts and agencies, delivering world class programs to U.S. marketers to engage leading technology and business decision-makers. Andrea’s deep understanding of technology marketing needs began during her time at IDG’s Network World Events where she rose to Publisher in 2009. After joining IDG Global Solutions in 2013, Andrea had the privilege of representing IDG’s international offerings to U.S., Canadian and LATAM marketers. After heading the U.S. Corporate Accounts team in 2017, Andrea then led the newly formed Field team and was promoted to CRO, U.S. in March 2021.

Matt Egan

An executive leader with more than two decades experience leading successful editorial teams, Matt Egan is Foundry’s (formerly IDG Communications) first ever Editorial Director.

Matt leads and supports Foundry’s world class teams of journalists in key markets across the globe, as they create expert content in multiple major world languages. He is responsible for audience development, data, content, ecommerce, analytics, video, and content strategy for the world’s most popular business-to-business and B2C technology publications and events.

Prior to his global role Matt managed Foundry’s award-winning enterprise and B2C editorial teams in the US, UK, ASEAN, France and Spain.

Matt holds a BA in English and Drama from the University of Hull. He’s married with two children and enjoys running.

Bringing more than 25 years of experience in the marketing services industry, Charles Lee is SVP, B2B. In his role, Charles oversees all domestic aspects of Foundry (formerly IDG Communications) and manages the U.S. leadership team, building an environment that fosters quality customer experience. Charles joined Foundry in 2005 as the Vice President of Corporate Sales. Through his time at Foundry, Charles has received numerous awards which include the IDG Corporate Star Award, two IDG President’s Awards, Folio40 and B2B Top Innovator of Business Publishing. Prior to being named President, U.S. in 2017, Charles served as the Senior Vice President and General Manager of Foundry Strategic Marketing Services.

Charles started his technology media career at Ziff Davis Media where was Vice President for 10 years. During that time, he created the company’s first Integrated Media Group, ran the Custom Media Group and was a key member of the launch teams for the Baseline and CIO Insights executive magazines.

Charles is a graduate of the University of Vermont.

With nearly 25 years’ experience in IT/media publishing, Mark Lewis brings a variety of perspectives to his role as Foundry’s Chief Data Officer (CDO). Mark’s goal as CDO is to create the most optimal environment for data. To ensure this, Mark runs a brilliant global team of analysts, data scientists, architects and reporting specialists who leverage the latest tools and techniques for standardizing, normalizing and securing data.

Prior to joining Foundry, Mark spent time in product roles at the Boston Globe/Boston.com. Additionally, Mark spent 10 years at TechTarget in product and editorial capacities. After graduating Boston University, he also spent many years as a writer/producer at WCVB-TV, Boston’s ABC affiliate.

Mark lives in Massachusetts with his wife and two children. When not at work, he’s continually seeking out a pick-up hoops game, while his knees/hips/ankles still allow.

Danny Phillips has been active as a senior industry event professional for 30 years in the USA and internationally and prior to joining IDG/IDC led the US IDG Event Team in a Consulting capacity.

He has served as CEO of Argyle Executive Forum in New York, overseeing its expansion and the acquisition of two businesses, and has run his own media M&A consultancy, Present Sky LLC, where he has represented both buy-side and sell-side clients in transactions in the B2C and B2B expo, peer-to-peer networking, training and conference sectors. More recently he has also served as Managing Director at Oaklins DeSilva+Phillips in New York where he led the events practice.

Previously, Danny was Executive Vice President of Advanstar/UBM/Informa where he was responsible for technology, automotive, licensing, entertainment and healthcare media divisions in the USA, France, Brazil, Germany, the UK and Hong Kong and led 11 acquisitions. Prior to that, he headed European technology media business units for both International Thomson and EMAP/Ascential from London.

In his new role with IDC and IDG, Danny will be leading the IDX Engage Operating Board and will report to Ram and Crawford Del Prete. As Senior Vice President of IDG and IDC’s event development initiative, Danny will be responsible for reimagining our combined event strategy; building execution consistency; ensuring our events meet the needs of regional BU customers; and overall event growth.

Danny lives in Laguna Beach, CA.

Sarah Stokes

Sarah is part of the Foundry Executive Leadership Team and heads up the Global Demand Generation Operations group, focusing on delivering verified in market first party leads that drive stronger, more accurate pipeline.

Sarah has more than 20 years of experience in building high performing teams, customer relationship management, business operations and leading with a data-driven customer-obsessed mindset. She has held several local and international leadership positions within Foundry including Customer Success, Sales Enablement, Sales Support, Program Management, Sales Operations and Revenue Operations. She is responsible for a number of successful transformational projects across the business which deliver against Foundry strategy. Sarah is known for her collaborative style and partners closely with executive and operational leaders, managers and teams.

Sarah lives in Tampa, Florida with her husband, son and daughter. She loves to run, read and surf whenever she finds the time.

Brian Stoller

As CMO, Brian Stoller, brings more than 25 years of marketing and martech experience to Foundry (formally IDG Communications).

In this role Brian will lead Foundry’s global data-driven marketing efforts as Foundry continues to define the intersection of media and martech. Brian brings his global marketing, agency and martech expertise, as well as a unique understanding of what Foundry’s customers need for success, because he previously was one.

Prior to joining Foundry Brian was Chief Marketing Officer of several start-up companies, including BioSymetrics, a SaaS platform pharmaceutical research using AI as well as several marketing technology companies.  At IBM, Brian was Executive Director of Performance Marketing where he built IBM’s in-house programmatic capabilities. He started his career in the agency space, supporting a wide range of clients from American Express, SAP, Cisco, LG Electronics, HSBC, GSK, and CHANEL among others.

Brian is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and is based out of New York, NY.

With 23 years media experience, and a track record of success in sales and publishing roles, Jim McGinty is a proven leader, and technology specialist.

Jim’s journey to Foundry encompassed leadership roles at VNU Business Publications and Incisive Media, as group publishing director.

Jim joined Foundry (formerly IDG Communications) in 2014. He has worked in international sales as well as Foundry’s strategic marketing services group. He launched The IDG Content Marketing Practice, creating high quality custom content for our global technology customers and then ran Foundry UK’s marketing services business, tasked with creating powerful interactions between our audience and commercial customers. Jim took over as managing director of Foundry UK in April 2019, overseeing our market leading B2B and Consumer brands.

Katherine Park

Katherine Park is the Managing Director, Korea. She joined IDG in February 2008, and was appointed Country Manager of Korea in April 2011. Through her leadership, the division established 2 media brands, IT World and CIO Korea, as well as the data platform Techlibrary, successfully.

Prior to joining Foundry (formally IDG Communications), Katherine was the country manager at Marcusevans Korea, and worked in Hyundai Development Company. From her past roles, Katherine built her experience in events production, Sales and Marketing and Finance.

Katherine holds MBA from University of Surry in the UK, and BA in English Literature from Sungshin Womens University. She is a charter member of Korean folk painting.

Manuel Pastor Rodríguez is Managing Director, Spain and has 25 years experience in the technology media sector.

During his career at Foundry (formally IDG Communications) Manuel has been editor at Computerworld editorial team and later Foundry Spain’s Digital Director.

Manuel is the 2017 recipient of the company’s highest recognition; the McGovern Award for Management Excellence and is also former finalist of the Accenture’s national IT media and Economy Award.

Manuel attended Complutense University in Madrid and has a BA in Journalism and Media. He is enthusiastic about swimming and cycling.

Jon Stubley is an experienced Senior Executive, team builder and team leader with a demonstrated history of success within the ever-evolving media industry. He has 25+ years of media experience in Broadcast Television & Radio, digital, streaming, mobile, and programmatic. He is skilled in launching regional offices of offshore headquartered companies and local technology focused start ups. Stubley graduated from Macquarie University majoring in Economics and Business Law.

Jonas Triebel is Managing Director, DACH and has 18 years experience in the ICT Media sector. Since joining Foundry (formerly IDG Communications) in 2002 in his first job as a trainee, he has held a series of senior positions such as Head of Database Operations, Publishing Director, Chief Product Officer and Chief Operating Officer.
