- IT leaders are currently focused on improving the basics and driving innovation in the future: 40% of ITDMs are currently focused on improving IT operations and 32% say that they plan to spend their time driving business innovation in the next 3 years.
- Hiring and finding certain skill sets remains a struggle for IT leaders: The top areas anticipated as the most difficult skills to fill are cybersecurity, blockchain, and data science/analytics.
- CIOs begin involvement with Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) standards: Today, 64% of CIOs say they’re tasked with adhering to ESG standards and are involved in the selection of clean information technology.
